Specialized Roval Traverse HD 240 DEG Wheels
Survival of the Strongest
Traverse HD 240 DEG
The Traverse HD is the strongest carbon trail wheel we’ve ever tested, engineered for those who live to send it—maybe harder than they should. Designed to handle big hits and rowdy lines, the Traverse HD 240 DEG is built to keep rolling no matter how hard you charge.
Use:
Aggressive Trail, Enduro
Weight (29"):
1,795 grams (with valves and tape)
Front: 780g
Rear: 1,015g
Â
Internal Width:
30mm
Hub:
DT Swiss 240 DEG- 90 Teeth / 4 Degrees
Spoke Count:
29 Front: 28H
29 & 27.5 Rear: 32H
Â
Spokes (Nerd Alert):
The Aerolite spoke has been a super light top end wheel spoke favourite for a long time. Is has the cross sectional area, weight and stiffness of a Revolution spoke, but mashed (which is a technical term for cold forged) in to a bladed super light spoke.
In 2025 DT Swiss bought out a new bladed spoke, the Revolite, the ideal choice for riders seeking a spoke that combines durability and light weight. Ever so slightly heavier, and a clever unique shape.
How to use this information! If you want a more compliant front wheel, go for the Aerolite. If you're on an eeb, or hard hitting enduro bike, go for the revolite. Will you notice the weight or compliance difference? The aggregation of marginal gains says just do it.... plus the Aerolite front wheel is on a bangin' discount!
